The Railway Ball after a two year break
Affectionately referred to as “UK rails biggest night out”, The Railway Ball 2022 is a fundraising event for Railway Children, attracting both young talent and industry paragons plus their partners.
This autumn The Railway Ball is returning to its usual timeslot, taking place, as is the custom, on the last Friday of November, which for 2022 will be Friday, 25 November 2022.
As with pretty much every networking event, the Ball was hugely impacted by COVID-19, forcing the organisers to cancel the fundraising evening in 2020 and reinventing their fundraising strategy with Rail Aid, Railway Children’s answer to Children in Need. 2022 will see both events run alongside each other for the first time.
What is The Railway Ball?
The Railway Ball is a charity event held at the InterContinental London – The O2 each autumn – and always makes for one of the most exciting UK rail events of the year. The Ball draws the biggest A-list names from the industry, as well as its rising stars. Raising thousands for Railway Children through tickets bought by UK rail companies; sponsorship by companies such as gold sponsors Worldline; along with fundraising games and auctions.
What is the 2022 theme?
This year’s Railway Ball theme is Greatest Hits LIVE! A combination of Top of the Pops meeting Jools Holland – non-stop entertainment featuring top tribute acts, culminating in a showstopping finale and Aftershow party.
Over 1500 guests will be partying to raise money to fund Railway Children’s projects, with just a handful of tickets left to sell. See Who’s Coming.
