Ball Favourite Makes a Come Back


The multi-talented Brian Conley is making a welcome return to The Railway Ball.  Back for a third time as 2018’s host, he’ll be testing some of his new act, before he starts his 2019 UK Tour. “Still The Greatest Entertainer – In His Price Range” will feature brand new comedy, sketches and songs, alongside some of his best-known material from stage and screen.

Brian Conley is one of Britain’s most respected comedians. Popular for his characterisations as diverse as Nick “It’s a Puppet” Frisby and Al Jolson.  Born on Paddington, he went to stage school, and at the age of 16, started performing cabaret in nightclubs. His TV break came as a warm up man for Terry Wogan, Noel Edmonds and Kenny Everett. This in turn lead to regular TV appearances in Five Alive and Live from the Palladium. ITV then gave him his own shows: Brian Conley – This Way Up, followed by The Brian Conley Show, which attracted more than 12 million viewers.

Away from television, Brian has starred in West End shows including: Barnum, Chitty Chitty Bang, Hairspray, Jolson, Me and My Girl and Oliver!  He has received numerous awards including, The National Television Award for ‘Most Popular Comedy Performer’ and ‘Show Business Personality of the Year‘.
