UK RAIL SUPPORTS RAILWAY CHILDREN
Railway Ball Supporters take us to over £5million
Thanks to the great railway community, The Railway Ball has now raised a massive £5,014,288 since we started back in 2000; with a record breaking £444,233.28 raised in November 2015 alone.
This means thousands of young lives have be changed for the better in the UK, India and East Africa.
MATCH FUNDING GIVES AN EXTRA BOOST
The UK government’s Department for International Development (DFID) awarded Railway Children a UK Aid Match appeal. In essence, every pound raised from public donations between 23rd October 2015 and 22nd January 2016 was doubled. Personal bids in our Taylor Woodrow Smart Auction and private donations at the 2015 Railway Ball helped Railway Children reach twice as many children and give them a future.
‘IF I GROW UP’ APPEAL
The £96,643 raised via DFID at The Railway Ball was doubled and will be used to fund the ‘If I Grow Up’ appeal aiding Kenyan and Tanzania children at risk of abuse, trafficking and prostitution. Children like Joseph and Elnest and the many others whose stories are still waiting to be heard.
