That’s A Wrap!

Last November, over 1,400 UK rail professionals and supporters came together to have fun, build connections and make a difference at the UK rail industry’s biggest and best night of the year. The result? Memories made, friendships forged… and some dance floor delights!

Most importantly, a phenomenal £531,700 was raised towards the life-changing work of Railway Children.

So, six months on… what difference is your money making?

• It’s enabled Railway Children to reach and support 6,268 children who were lost, vulnerable and alone across the UK, India and Tanzania.
• In the UK, it’s helped launch a vital new project in Glasgow, providing vulnerable young people across Scotland with safety, support and the means to flourish.
• In India, it’s extended Railway Children’s work across another railway station and a bus terminal – to reach even more children before abuse or exploitation can.
• In Tanzania, it’s provided grants and training in business skills to 72 caregivers, ensuring children in their care can thrive.
• It’s provided safeguarding training to over 4,000 rail staff and those who work around the railways as well as child protection professionals – meaning thousands more children around the world are safe and supported.

Since The Railway Ball began, it’s raised over £8.5m and helped protect and support over 320,000 children. That’s 320,000 young lives made better because of you.

But for every child your money has helped, thousands more are still lost, alone and vulnerable on streets and at transport hubs across the UK, India and Tanzania.
