Calling Collectors of UK Rail Heritage

Calling all collectors of UK rail heritage!

Introducing an exciting addition to this year’s Railway Ball auction: ten limited edition table lamps crafted from lights salvaged from old Pendolino trains, courtesy of our friends at Alstom!

These unique lamps are no ordinary lighting fixtures; they’re pieces of UK rail history. Each lamp tells a story of the iconic Pendolino trains that have crossed the rail network, capturing the imagination of enthusiasts and passengers alike.

Why settle for the ordinary when you can own a piece of railway history?

“We’re keen to bring innovation and creativity to our online auction, offering one-of-a-kind items that spark excitement and captivate collectors. These Pendolino train lights turned table lamps are part of our attempt to refresh the auction and cater to the varied interests of our supporters” Railway Ball Chair & MD, GWR, Mark Hopwood CBE.

“We encourage everyone to think out-of-the-box and contribute unique auction lots that celebrate the rich heritage of UK railways.” Railway Ball Committee Member, Piers Wood – Country MD Alstom Ireland, whose colleagues in the Alstom modernisation facility in Widnes came up with the idea to produce the lamps.

Whether it’s vintage signage, authentic station benches, or repurposed railway artifacts, let’s breathe new life into the auction, filled with gems that remind us of our rich train heritage.

Don’t miss out on your chance to own a piece of railway nostalgia and support Railway Children. The Railway Ball auction goes live at the Railway Industry Association dinner in early November.

Get in touch now if you can help with auction lots to make this year’s auction truly unforgettable.
