The Railway Ball 2025 is gathering momentum—and if the latest campaign video is anything to go by, we’re in for a ride.
With over 1,000 tickets already sold, this year’s Bicentennial Charity Ball is shaping up to be the biggest yet. On Friday 28 November, more than 1,300 colleagues from across rail, infrastructure and transport will gather at the InterContinental London – The O2 for a night of celebration, connection, and charitable chaos (the good kind).
To mark 200 years of the modern railway, the campaign features a short video starring a trio of rail royalty: Angie Doll (Chair of The Railway Ball and CEO of GTR), and Ball Patrons Sir Andrew Haines (CEO, Network Rail), and Andy Lord (Commissioner, TfL). Their mission? Help deliver “the biggest ball ever.” The result? Let’s just say it’s worth a watch.
“This year’s Ball is more than a celebration—it’s a call to action,” said Angie Doll. “Railway Children are facing a critical funding gap, and The Railway Ball is our biggest opportunity to come together as an industry and make a real difference.”
Sir Andrew Haines added: “The Railway Ball is a brilliant example of how our sector can unite for good. It’s fun, it’s impactful, and it’s a chance to support children who need us most.”
Andy Lord commented: “We’re proud to support The Railway Ball. It’s a fantastic night that shows what our industry is all about—working together, caring for others and supporting our community.”
With Railway Children facing a £500,000 shortfall following the loss of major grants, the stakes are high—and the support is needed.
